Graffiti is a problem in many communities that just seems to go from bad to worse.
Graffiti left on a building or on property is begging to be written over by rival gangs or by people who just don't agree with the original graffiti.
Graffiti is a blight on our community and we ask that you help us to remove this blight. With your help we can keep graffiti from being a problem. Quick removal of graffiti makes our community cleaner and gives a feeling of safety. By quickly removing this graffiti, we keep other taggers or graffiti artists from writing over previous graffiti and nip this problem in the bud before it becomes out of control.
Village ordinance 6-1-23(a) indicates that graffiti must be removed and cannot remain on the property for more than (10) ten days after receipt of this notice. Violations of this ordinance can result in fines ranging from fifty to five-hundred dollars.
Please help keep our community clean. Report graffiti or taggers to the police department. Call the police when you see suspicious activity. Together we can keep our community cleaner and safer for everyone.
