1. Why wasn’t my garbage or recycling picked up?

Flood Brothers provides garbage and recycling pick up every Thursday. Separate trucks pick up garbage, recycling and yard waste. If it appears that your house has been forgotten, contact Flood Brothers at 630-261-0400 and request a return trip. You must also contact Flood Brothers if you need to replace your containers.

2. How do I get rid of yard waste?

Unlimited Yard Waste is collected every year from the first Thursday in April to the last Thursday in November. Yard waste must be segregated from other materials and packaged as follows:

- Contained within 35 gallon or smaller waterproof, rigid containers with two handles and clearly marked with a “yard waste only” sticker available at the Village Office. Containers cannot exceed 50 pounds.

- Leaves contained in brown paper yard waste bags not to exceed 50 pounds.

- Bundles of brush not exceeding 50 pounds in weight and 2 feet in diameter, containing individual branch lengths not exceeding four feet and individual branch diameters not exceeding three inches.

Any landscape/yard waste not meeting the above requirements shall require a special pick up service. Special pick up can be arranged by calling Flood Brothers at 630-261-0400.

3. Where can I recycle my electronics?

Residents can drop off electronic items for recycling from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday at the Public Works Building in the designated green walk-in dumpster located at the gate of the parking lot.
