[ARCHIVED] RPD Chief to Speak On Panel Addressing Future Law Enforcement Leaders

Chief Thomas Weitzel to address attendees of Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command.

Riverside Police Chief Thomas Weitzel has been invited to be a participant on an executive panel which will address the 421st class of the School of Police Staff and Command sponsored by Northwestern University Center for Public Safety on January 18th, 2018 at 9:30am.  This 10‑week program is currently being held offsite at the Elmhurst Police Department.

Chief Weitzel stated, "Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command is an intensive program designed to prepare law enforcement leaders for not only today's challenges but those in the future.  The class focuses on leadership principles, strategies for identifying emerging issues, skills and knowledge necessary to prepare future leaders and police accountability and responsibility issues."

Chief Weitzel is a former graduate of Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Staff and Command and graduated from this program in 1998.
