[ARCHIVED] RPD Officers Receive AAIM Award

Riverside Officers Brian Greenenwald, Michael Panek, Joseph Mahanna and Tammy Roberson were honored by the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM) with Certificates of Appreciation for their outstanding DUI enforcement in removing impaired drivers from Illinois roadways.

Last year hundreds of people were killed in Illinois and thousands profoundly injured by drunk drivers.

Riverside Police Department has increased its traffic enforcement in all areas including DUI’s, Felony DUI’s, and Driving While License Suspended or Revoked (based on a DUI conviction).

“When I was sworn in as Chief of Police, I made a promise to ensure that Riverside not only maintained its reputation as one of the safest Villages in the United States, but also improve upon that track record," said Chief Tom Weitzel. "I take great pride in knowing that I have officers working with me who share this same passion. Removing impaired drivers from our roadways is one of those passions"

Chief Weitzel presented the awards to each officer in person.
