[ARCHIVED] Be a part of the Swan Pond Restoration Project!

Date:  Saturday, July 15, 2017

Time:  9am - 12pm

Location:  Swan Pond


Volunteers are needed to help with sedge planting in the Swan Pond.  If you are able to assist with this important effort, please RSVP to Maribeth Reimer by email or voicemail at:  mreimer@riverside.il.us or 708-442-3590 x500.


This project will likely continue into the afternoon, so if you’re not available in the morning, please consider helping out in the afternoon.  Look for the Riverside Public Works dump truck.  Come and help out as your schedule permits.  Supervised children are welcome. Service hour credits are available. Bring your favorite work gloves & a water bottle.  All other supplies & snacks will be provided.

 

The Olmsted Society will be conducting a walking tour of the Waubansee Preserve following the Swan Pond workday.

Waubansee Preserve Tour

Saturday, July 15

3:00 – 4:30pm

 

Meet at Waubansee Road, just west of 1st Avenue, two blocks south of Riverside Brookfield High School.  Park on the South side of Waubansee along the Forest Preserve.
