[ARCHIVED] New Traffic Patterns and Detours!

Construction Map 6-29-2017

Effective July 5, 2017, weather permitting, new traffic patterns and detours will be established in and around the Village of Riverside.

For the next phase of the MWRD Salt Creek Intercepting Sewer Rehabilitation Project, Kenny Construction will be working along Riverside Road from the downtown area southeast to Miller Road.

There will be no restriction on water/sewer usage, but contractors will need to access manholes near some homes.  Work hours will typically be 7AM to 7PM Monday through Friday.  Saturdays are optional.  Due to the local and regional importance of this project, special permission has been granted to allow work to continue beyond normal construction hours, but accommodations will be made to limit noise disruptions.

The tentative start date for this phase of the project is July 5, 2017, and the duration of this phase will be 10-12 weeks. The planned completion date for the entire project is November 2018.

A link to the map of the new traffic patterns and detours is included in this message and descriptions follow.

ESTIMATED COMPLETION SEPTEMBER 1.

Forest Avenue from Longcommon to West Avenue — Road will be closed to Eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic only. Previous detours will be in place routing Eastbound traffic to Pine Avenue.

Longcommon from the BNSF railroad tracks North to Burlington – Beginning approximately September 1, and lasting for approximately 3 weeks, Northbound lanes will be closed with traffic shifted to the west side of roadway.

In addition to these posted detours, there is also ongoing construction due to the 2017 street paving and sidewalk replacement programs on Northwood, Evelyn, Uvedale Road, Uvedale Court and Des Plaines Avenue.  Please use caution when driving in and around the village and observe all posted detours and speed limits.  Thank you for your patience during these important infrastructure projects.
