[ARCHIVED] Riverside Police Chief and Family Featured in Statewide Father’s Day Article

On Father’s Day, June 18, 2017, Riverside Police Chief Thomas Weitzel and his three sons, Alex, Matthew and Peter, were featured in a statewide police publication entitled tentwonews.com in reference to police chiefs who have sons or daughters in law enforcement.

Chief Weitzel and his sons, along with other law enforcement leaders, were interviewed about the commitment to law enforcement and fatherhood for this Father’s Day story.  Chief Weitzel stated, "I was honored to be selected as were my sons for this Father’s Day story.  My entire family is committed to a career in law enforcement and all of us take our responsibility as public servants with the highest degree of importance and professionalism."
