On Saturday, June 3, 2017, Riverside Bike Patrol Officer Mike Panek conducted a bike safety program and rodeo in the parking lot at St. Mary’s School.
This program was administered by Riverside Police Department as part of the Riverside Ride.
Officer Panek instructed the kids in safety gear for bike riding and demonstrated safety tips to use along with proper hand signals. Officer Panek conducted safety checks on bicycles in regard to tire pressure, seats, handlebars and pedals.
Riverside Police officers will conduct bike safety programs and rodeos throughout the year.
