[ARCHIVED] Job Openings in Parks and Recreation

The Riverside Parks and Recreation Department currently has two job openings. 

The Recreation Assistant will manage the front desk and act as a direct line of communication between the department and the residents of Riverside. This position will work closely with the Youth Program Manager, Recreation Supervisor, Program Coordinator, and Director of Parks & Recreation with a variety of programming, special event, and maintenance assistance. Must be at least 18 years old to apply. 

Hours can range from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM and would average 29 hours per week. Trainings and events may be outside of the average time. Total annual hours of work will be approximately 1500.

The part-time School Year Counselor participates in program activities with enthusiasm while exercising leadership and responsibility in order to create a safe atmosphere. A School Year Counselor must work closely, cooperatively, and amicably with all staff members. School year counseling is a minimum of 38 weeks attendance commitment; from August to June. (The entire school year is approximately 38 weeks).Candidates must be at least 16 years old to apply. The Village provides CPR/First Aid Certification for all counselors. Valid Driver’s license preferred.

Hours can range from 6:45Am – 6:00PM Monday through Friday depending on placement. Hours can range from 5 to 30 per week. Total annual work will be between 10 – 999 hours. Starting rate $13.80.
