The Village is aware of an increase in the number of low flying aircrafts over Riverside. The Village has filed a complaint with the Chicago Department of Aviation and has inquired about the recent changes in the flight pattern to gain an understanding of how much longer the Village may be experiencing the low flying aircrafts. It is important to note that when the winds are blowing southeast, the planes are required to approach Midway from the northwest and Riverside is in that direct path. Typically that path is a function of weather or construction.
Residents may file a complaint directly with the Chicago Department of Aviation.
