In order to be eligible for emergency mortgage assistance provided by the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA), the homeowner must:
- Have experienced a COVID-19- related hardship after January 21, 2020.
- Be delinquent on mortgage and/or property taxes.
- Currently own and occupy the property as their primary residence.
- Have an income at or below 150% of the Area Median Income.
