The Village of Riverside is currently ranked #3 by the EPA in terms of percentage of green power vs. total power consumed. Thank you to everyone who participates in the Electric Aggregation program! It will be difficult to remain at the top of this list because the highest quality Renewable Energy Credits originally purchased for the village by MC Squared will no longer be available in the marketplace because companies such as Google, Facebook and Amazon are buying them up. However, residents should rest assured that the village's energy supply will remain at 100% Renewable, exactly as contracted, but with hydro or other types of power generation, rather than wind RECs.
