[ARCHIVED] First Division Sewer Separation Project Starts April 24

First Division Sewer Separation Project Map for Trending 4-19-2017

The First Division Sewer Separation Project is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 24, 2017.  The contractor will begin by mobilizing equipment, saw cutting pavement and televising the sewer main lines. Construction operations will include installing new storm sewer (12”-24” diameter), replacing some of the existing sanitary sewer mains, installing new outfall structures along the Des Plaines River, and temporary pavement patching. In some instances, work will also include removing and replacing driveway aprons, installing new water services, sidewalk, curb & gutter and sod restoration. The project is anticipated to be completed by October 6, 2017.

Notices were hand delivered to all homes in the First Division by Public Works Department staff today, Wednesday, April 19.
