First Responders Vaccinated Against COVID-19

Tabb Vaccination Day

Fire Chief Mathew Buckley and Lieutenant Dan Tabb were among a group of local first responders who received the COVID-19 vaccine at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood on Friday, December 18.  First responders, along with front line healthcare workers, are among those recommended to receive the first round of vaccine.

Loyola Medicine has been selected as a vaccination site for the state of Illinois. Vaccinations will initially be available for health care workers and first responders at the Loyola University Medical Center campus. As supplies increase and more people become eligible for the vaccine, other sites will be opened, including Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, MacNeal Hospital and ambulatory sites.
