The Village Board and Staff wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving! Village offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 26 & 27, in observance of the holiday. Flood Brothers will collect refuse, recycling and yard waste in Riverside on Friday this week. Please try to get yard waste picked up and bagged in time for Friday's collection. The final yard waste collection date of the year will be December 3.
Traditional Thanksgiving gatherings with family and friends are something that we all look forward to; however, according to the CDC, these activities can increase the chances of getting or spreading COVID-19 or the flu. Due to the ongoing pandemic and increasing positivity rates in our community, the safest way to celebrate Thanksgiving this year is to celebrate with only the people in your household. If you do plan to spend Thanksgiving with people outside your household, please take steps to make your celebration safer by following the CDC recommendations outlined in the link that follows.
