As part of the ongoing effort to ensure compliance, the Village has completed a detailed computerized audit to compare vehicles that are registered by the Illinois Secretary of State with the current list of Village vehicle stickers. Notices will soon be mailed to all residents found on the Secretary of State list who did not purchase a 2018-2019 vehicle sticker.
Those receiving letters will be required to pay for a village sticker for 2018-2019 in addition to purchasing their 2019-2020 sticker. Those who do not respond by June 30, 2019, will receive a citation for not purchasing a 2018-2019 sticker. Please note: all vehicles registered to or housed in Riverside are required to have a Riverside vehicle sticker. Vehicle owners are responsible for all late fees.
All those receiving the notice will also be given the opportunity to update their records with the Secretary of State if they no longer own the vehicle OR if it is no longer registered or residing in Riverside.
