Over 35 students involved in after school art clubs at both Central and Hollywood Schools have worked for several months to create individual faux meals inspired by installation artwork and artists like Claus Oldenburg and contemporary Lucy Sparrow. Everything from placemats, serving ware, and of course, food, was prepared and made by the students using media that includes paper mache, clay, felt, and plaster.
There will be an opening reception on Wednesday, February 13, from 4-6 pm. The exhibit will be on display at the Riverside Arts Center February 9 - 23, 2019.
