Changes to Des Plaines River Flood Stages

Des Plaines River Swan Pond

The Village has worked with the National Weather Service and Cook County Department of Homeland Security over the past few months to update the village's flood stages.

The changes to the Action Stage and Minor Flood Stage for the Des Plaines River at Riverside have been implemented in the National Weather Service programs, and all future River Flood Watches, Warnings and Advisories for Riverside will be based on these new river levels.  These changes are reflected on the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service page for the Des Plaines River Level at Riverside.
